About PCR

Presidential Campaign Rhetoric is a site initially produced by the Communication 458 class at the University of Maryland. COMM 458 was a course in the rhetoric of the American presidency with a focus on pivotal/important election campaigns. Over the course of the Spring 2011 semester, students posted to this site information, observations, research, citations, and election texts that they discover and believe to be of interest in the study of presidential campaign rhetoric.

Since the Spring 2011 semester, students in other courses have contributed postings to the site and others have added additional discussions of presidential campaign rhetoric.

PCR is sponsored and maintained by Trevor Parry-Giles from the Department of Communication at the University of Maryland. Any questions or comments should be directed to him: tpg@umd.edu.
